Drumm, Gerig to present in St. Louis
AAI Principals Becky Drumm and Rich Gerig will present a 75-minute workshop, “Advanced Techniques for Major Gift Solicitation” at the 2008 Mennonite Health Assembly.
Drumm has thirteen years experience as a development officer and consultant to nonprofit organizations. Previously, she served eighteen years, to the level of senior vice president, in the banking industry. Gerig has 30 years experience in institutional advancement and has developed expertise in constituent relations and mentoring new advancement professionals.
The workshop will include
- techniques to draw out and remove potential barriers to a donor making a major gift commitment.
- signs of a mature relationship between a donor and the development officer, CEO and/or board member that represent an institution.
- role play of advanced communication and gift solicitation techniques required for the success and satisfaction of all involved. Role play will be based on actual cases gathered from participants.
The Mennonite Health Assembly is attended by approximately 400 CEOs, board members and executive team leaders of peace church related health and long term care organizations. The 2008 event will take place March 27-30 in St. Louis, MO. For more information, email info@mhsonline.org.
