Adriel builds for future

For over 110 years, Adriel has been serving Ohio’s neediest children. On June 2, with the groundbreaking for a new residential home on its West Liberty campus, Adriel began preparing for its next 100 years of service.

Gerig to present at ELCA conference

AAI Principal Rich Gerig has been invited to present at the 2008 National Administrator and Pastor Conference hosted by the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America and the Evangelical Lutheran Education Association.

Kennell departs AAI

After more than nine years of service, Jerry Kennell, founder and principal of Advancement Associates, Inc. has left the firm. Richard Gerig and Rebecca Drumm, also principals of the firm, will continue the consulting business which serves peace church related nonprofit organizations and congregations in the areas of strategic visioning, fundraising, communications and enrollment.

TFA holds milestone conferences

The Teaching-Family Association (TFA) held its 30th annual conference November 14-17 in Washington, D.C. Founded in 1975, TFA’s mission is “to ensure the quality of care provided by professionals who actively pursue the goals of humane, effective, individualized treatment for children, families, and dependent adults.” Treatment is based on what is known as the Teaching-Family Model..

Months of work culminate in retreat for CMU

Jerry Kennell, principal of Advancement Associates, led a strategic visioning retreat for Canadian Mennonite University, October 19 and 20, at Wilderness Edge Retreat and Conference Centre in Pinawa, Manitoba. The retreat, involving 75 internal and external stakeholders of the university, was the culmination of an institutional visioning process started in June 2007.

Gerig leads visioning process

Twenty-one friends of Chicago Mennonite Learning Center (CMLC) met in August for a two-day strategic visioning retreat. The process was led by Rich Gerig, AAI principal. The group included present and former board members, staff persons, donors and other key stakeholders.

Western Mennonite School Breaks Ground

Western Mennonite School broke ground Sunday, May 20 for Phase I of the new Academic Center. This phase includes an 8,000 square-foot facility with a library, computer lab, student workstations, and the support systems for both Phase I and Phase II.
